In its limited scheme this book ambitiously poses an issue worthy of discussion and expresses an explicit invitation to promote a culture of imbuing leaderships and nations with happiness. The book is the product of extensive communication with an elite group of thinkers, innovators, authors and writers; the harvest of more than forty years spent in this quest for achieving happiness on a large scale for leaders and nations alike.

The author maintains that we cannot conceive of a renaissance without a leadership and a nation that reciprocally make each other happy. He stresses the fact that the UAE leadership has persistently worked on providing all means and capabilities to make the people of the UAE and residents happy. The pillars of this quest for happiness were laid down by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE. This has prompted him to think of ways of returning some of the favors of this leadership by designing a number of programs and initiatives intended to hearten the leadership and promote reciprocity.

Before the emergence of ‘Al Tawasol International Tent’ there were several precursor phases that encompassed various countries and cultures at different times. The author focused on serving a particular purpose- communicating on a global level targeting one ultimate goal: becoming ‘Al Tawasol International Initiator’. This active interest on the author’s part ushered him into carrying the banner of international communication and gave birth to ‘Al Tawasol International Tent’, which has become an international platform of communication, bringing together those interested in building bridges of communication from all over the world.

The enterprise of ‘Al Tawasol International Tent’ informs of a deep interest in communicating with leaderships and nations irrespective of race, tradition, religion or country. The ‘Tent’ communicates with leaderships and nations via ‘Al Tawasol’ centers and ambassadors of gratitude and happiness to advocate a culture of happiness and promote tolerance and gratitude. As a matter of fact, the ‘Tent’ has more than 77 representatives in centers and affiliate offices in 91 countries.

The book is divided into two sections. In two chapters in the first section, the book traces the history of ‘Al Tawasol International Tent’ through eight phases of development going back to the very childhood of the author when he was in the primary stage of education.

In this first section, the book portrays the origins of ‘Al Tawasol’ idea and how it relates to an auspicious incident involving the author and one of his teachers in the primary school. The dreams attached to the idea of ‘Al Tawasol’ and the efforts exerted by ‘Al Tawasol’ initiator are rendered in detail.
